At Nova Health, Cassidy manages social media calendars, content and copy creation, keeps web content fresh, as well as maintains all online platforms and appearances, including Google Business and Maps pages. She also assists in SEO optimization and messaging strategy for brand awareness efforts.
Through her efforts using online digital ad placements and social promotion, Nova Health won the Register Guard’s 2020 Readers’ Choice award for Best Family Practice. This was the first year Nova Health won the award, unseating local competitor Oregon Medical Group from their 5-year first place streak.
She was hired after Nova Health’s initial brand roll-out, and one of her most successful campaigns was #DoYouKnowNova, a campaign dedicated to featuring clinic locations with updated signage and branding, engaging followers, and celebrating the new look and name along with their trusted healthcare professionals. More about the #DoYouKnowNova campaign here.
Though hired as a receptionist, Cassidy expanded her role quickly to assisting The Veterinary Hospital’s (TVH) Practice Manager with updating all internal branded materials and revamping the hospital’s social media presence.
Social media updates included crafting a new aesthetic identity on the hospital’s Facebook page, sharing news related to pet health, and monitoring for messages from clients. In-clinic elements included creating a new hospital brochure and designing and updating rotating slides for the waiting room television screen, which featured client’s pets, topical pet health alerts, and promotional information.
As part of TVH’s brand awareness campaign, Cassidy designed print ads that appeared in Eugene Weekly and the n2 South Hills magazine, appearing in conjunction with radio ads and Working Women’s Wednesday sponsorships.
This was all in addition to receptionist duties, which included in-person and virtual customer service interaction with clients, physical and digital file management, executing and organizing the digitization of physical medical records, merchandising, and administrative duties.
As an intern for Gold Door Films, Cassidy created a social media strategy to drum up buzz on social media and the festival circuit for the release of the production house’s first feature film Gentlemen’s Fury. By establishing a strong voice and consistent calendar, she was able to increase engagement and traffic to the film’s Facebook and Instagram profiles.
She also worked to submit Gentlemen’s Fury to film festivals using the hyped-up, extreme voice of the film’s antagonist. This resulted in acceptance into five festivals including the Sunscreen Film Festival West, Portland Comedy Film Festival, and the Laugh of Die Comedy Fest.
In a motion to both reach the film’s target audience and pass on film-making experience, a desire of Gold Door co-founders Ben Sharples and Melissa Hall, Cassidy reached out to university film programs offering the chance to watch a pre-release screener of Gentlemen’s Fury with their students followed by a talk with the film’s lead actor and director. Ben and Melissa spoke at three universities prior to Gentlemen’s Fury’s release. They were so pleased by the experience and tying it to the film’s promotion, they intend to make it a part of every film they produce from now on.
11:59 - Divisi
Divisi's first professional music video, released in tandem with their 5th studio album Shots Fired.
After tagging, tweeting, and sharing across all social media platforms, Cassidy and the rest of Divisi’s social team were able to bring "11:59" to the attention of the original artist, Michael Franti. He was so flattered and impressed, that he invited Divisi to perform 11:59 with him onstage to a crowd of 5,000 at his tour stop in Portland.

Waldgeist is a feature-length horror film based on the German myth of forest spirits. The film started as a short, but after completion, the filmmakers decided that it was too high of quality to not expand it into a feature.
Cassidy worked as a producer on Waldgeist, scouted and secured filming locations, and talent scouted for the additional cast once Waldgeist became a feature-length film.
